Sometimes we have to look back in order to move forward

Trauma & Healing

Past experiences can impact how you think, feel, and respond to the world around you. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, triggered, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that are difficult to change. Trauma-informed therapy provides a space to better understand these responses and begin to move forward at your own pace.

Is Trauma- Informed Therapy Right for You?

This may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel easily overwhelmed or emotionally triggered
  • Experience anxiety, panic, or difficulty relaxing
  • Feel disconnected from yourself or others
  • Struggle with trust, safety, or relationships
  • Find it difficult to move past certain experiences

What You’ll Work On

In therapy, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Better understand how past experiences impact you today
  • Learn ways to manage emotional and physical responses
  • Build a sense of safety and stability
  • Improve your ability to cope with triggers
  • Develop tools to navigate relationships and daily life.

What to expect

Therapy is collaborative, supportive, and paced based on your comfort level. The focus is not on reliving experiences, but on helping you feel more in control, grounded, and supported as you process and make sense of what you’ve been through.

As part of the process, you’ll also gain a better understanding of how trauma impacts your thoughts, emotions, and body. Your therapist will help you recognize triggers, build a sense of safety, and develop practical tools to manage overwhelming responses. The goal is to help you move forward at a pace that feels manageable while building skills you can use in your day-to-day life.

We integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed yoga when appropriate, depending on your needs and goals.

 Not sure where to start?
We’ll help match you with the therapist who best fits your needs.
